when you click a zoom link to join a meeting, it takes you to your browser and shows a popup "Do you want to allow this page to open “.app”?" and you can click Allow and it launches zoom. You can do this with MacWise, Terminal, iTerm, or GLTerm. It sounds like you want a terminal with addressable screen coordinates which will allow you to interact with text anywhere on the screen. I know that Zoom can do something like this. Perhaps, you should explain why you want to manipulate text.
